PRESS RELEASE: THE CDC HAS “GONE TOO FAR”

CHARLESTON, WV – West Virginians are widely questioning the CDC’s recent recommendation, believing that the CDC “went too far.” The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has added the Covid-19 vaccines to the recommended vaccination schedule for infants, children, and adolescents. Among the reasons cited by critics for challenging this recommendation are that in this age group the risk of serious adverse events from the vaccines such as myocarditis (heart inflammation) far exceeds the frequency of severe Covid-19 illness, and there are very limited data on vaccine long-term effectiveness and safety.

Now that the CDC has recommended Covid-19 vaccines for all children, vaccine makers and pediatricians are exempt from lawsuits for Covid-19 vaccine injury and death. The risk to West Virginians is that the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health (DHHR) could take CDC recommendations and turn them into state policy. Because WV does not currently offer religious or conscientious objection exemptions, this means that the Covid-19 vaccines could become required for school entry.

West Virginia parents including members of West Virginians for Health Freedom and MOVCAC are calling on West Virginia legislators to pass legislation in the coming session to end ALL mandatory vaccinations. West Virginians value freedom to make informed decisions for themselves, not mandates from regulatory agencies that are caught in the web of Big Pharma.
